At NXTcomm 08, Juniper Networks showed how service providers can monetize their networks with Juniper's service-enabling network infrastructure. As a proof point, Juniper announced enhancements to its MX-series Ethernet Services Routers — part of a continued evolution and expansion of what is one of the fastest-ramping product portfolios in Juniper history. Also announced at the show, several new partners — including NTT, IBM, NEC and Polycom — joined Juniper's Open IP Development Program, an example of Juniper's open network architecture expanding the range of partner opportunities and accelerating innovation.

Juniper Networks Open IP Development Partners Drive Technology Innovation
IBM, Kasenna, NEC and Polycom Join Open IP Development Programs
Juniper Networks today announced that IBM, Kasenna, NEC and Polycom are the company's newest Open IP development partners. The Juniper Networks Open IP development programs provide tools and support for creating advanced products and services that combine the technology and expertise of partners with the extensive networking and security capabilities from Juniper Networks. The programs include the e Open IP Solution Development Program (OSDP) and the Open IP Service Creation Program (OSCP). For more details, see the press release.

Juniper Networks Enhances Portfolio of High-Performance Ethernet Services Routers
New Interface Cards Increase Flexibility of MX-series Ethernet Services Routers; Extend Carrier-Class Ethernet to Broader Range of Networks and Services
Juniper Networks today expanded the range of interface cards for its MX-series portfolio of Ethernet Services Routers with the addition of three new interchangeable dense port concentrator (DPC) families. With increased flexibility to support a wider range of Ethernet network architectures in both the enterprise and service provider markets, Juniper Networks  MX-series allows customers with the ability to expand and accelerate the deployment of carrier-class Ethernet networks and services — reducing cost and complexity in additional parts of the network. NTT Advances Network Technology with Juniper Networks Partner Solution Development Platform
Leading Japanese Carrier Joins Open IP Solution Development Program
NTT Advanced Technology (NTT-AT) — a company that represents the technological core of the NTT Group, the leading telecom carrier in Japan — has joined the Juniper Networks Open IP Solution Development Program (OSDP). As a member of the OSDP, NTT-AT will have access to the Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP), which enables customers and partners to develop specialized applications on Juniper Networks best-in-class JUNOS software.
